After discussing the origin of my real name and talking about my Hawaiian name with Reinhard and his sister (Reinhard has his office in my house and his sister lives next door), I woke up the next morning to find a bunch of lilacs in my kitchen! Reinhard said that he was making up bunches for a couple of other people and then decided to give me some too since my name Laurie has origins in the word Laurel, which is a flower. The note reads "For Lali" and on the side "Lilacs".
How sweet of him!
